1974 Mustang II- A Mach 1 or just a 3-door?

I recently put my Vin# into a Vin# decoder and doortag decoder and found out that my Mustang II is a Mach 1. When i looked at my car where the Mach 1 symbol should be i didn't see it. I rechecked my Vin# and it was right. Anybody know whats going on? Thanks

The previous owner or the owner before that probably did a paint job on the car and did not put the decals and everything back on when they did it.

Thanks, i didn't even think about that. I hope thats what happened. I can now say i am the proud owner of a 1974 Mustang II Mach 1.

just out of curiousity, where did you find the decoder? I've wanted to do a vin search on mine, but its only 11 digits long..so normal sites like "carfax" dont find anything, they require 17 digits... ive tried putting "0"'s and "X"s before and after to fill the space but no good.
