Any Suggestions? 1977 Cobra Mustang II trim removal
Hey all,
Mom in law gave us her '77 Cobra II.
Good shape overall, needs paint.
I've got the manuals, they don't share how to remove the polished aluminum trim from windows, or anywhere else.
Ideas and required tool info is appreciated.

Just go to autozone or any car store and they should sell trim removal tools but if you can't find any in them go to eastwood they have the tools. What you want to do is go slow I can't stress that enough if you bend the trim you'll probably have to find new ones and thats a little hard to do some times. Put the tool under the trim and start to pry it up but do it slowly and go along the trim piece prying up a little at a time so not to bend it. The trim is held in with a bunch of clips that go all along the piece. Thats about it for the window trim. The door trim is held on with nuts you'll just have to look and find them and remove them.

As stated above GO VERY SLOW. Make sure you use a folded cloth between the tool and whatever sheet metal you are prying against so you don't damage the surrounding area.
