i want to put a 351 and a t5 in my 77 II it curently has no motor it came with a 302 will i be able to use my old motor mounts and the oil pan off of the 302 other then the obvious clearences problems any other problems should i be aware of? are there any special years of motors or trannys i should be looking for? thanks for any help tim

thats not my stang in the picture the moderator put that there mine just got a fresh coat of paint and is stripped down to just a shell and is going back together slowly i have not bought a 351 yet i was hoping for some info on what engine and t-5 tranny will work best!

i found a 1974 351 w today i think i can get it for next to nothing or nothing at all what would be involved in this transplant? will a t-5 tranny mount the same to this as a 302? what kinda oil pan will i need and lastly can i use my 302 motor mounts?

almost anything from a 302 will fit a 351, the intake and headers are a bit different, the 351 is a bit taller, there are lots of articles on this swap on the internet...I'd recommend the 408 stroker kit for the 351...gobs of power/torque, I'm putting one in my Saleen soon
