Default Mustang II Disc brake upgrade

What are the best options for upgrading Mustang II front disc brakes to a more modern system? I want to keep the OEM spindles in place if possible.

If you mean larger rotors you can get brackets that will adapt GM calipers to the original Mustang II spindles to allow the use of the larger Granada rotors.

Thanks. The car I have now actually has the GM conversion on it that you mentioned above. I believe it uses 1969-1974 Nova calipers.

Since this conversion was done many years ago I was interested in going to the next level and purchasing a set-up from the aftermarket if it made sense.

Is there a noticeable difference just going with a dual piston caliper and sticking with the stock rotors? Any recommendations from guys that have experience with aftermarket options would be helpful.

If you have the GM conversion you are running the 11 inch Granada rotors as the stock rotors are 9 inch. You could upgrade to the 13 inch cobra brakes but you will have to go to a 17 inch wheel. For street/strip I would stay with the 11 inch rotor setup. If you just want to upgrade, put disc on the rear.

How about this setup it's the drilled and slotted granada rotors, with wildwood dana light 4 piston calipers. The first image is most of what i used.
