Default power steering problems

For a while i have thought about putting manual steering on my 78 5.0 cobra clone, and the power steerin pump leaked and whined real bad, so i took it off to replace and of course the new pump didnt havethe puuly on it, and as usual it fought me, the lip that you pull it off with folded almost in half with the bearing tool they make, and when i tried to use my normal bearing pullers it just destroyed the pully. And im sick of fooling with it. How hard is it to convert it over to manual steering?

Just a matter of finding a manual rack, removing the pump and lines, and swapping.

I'm strongly considering the same change for my II. I had a manual-steering '74 that actually drove better than my power steering equipped '76.

1976 Ford Mustang II Ghia: 302 with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Dynomax Blackjack headers, 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster Super 44s. RJS 11-gallon fuel cell, C4 tranny, chrome 16" pony wheels, fuzzy dice, brown vinyl half-top, and painted in the tackiest color ever (harvest gold, that's why I call it "The Goldenrod").

Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)

do i need a new colum, or the part of the steering that inserts to the rack, im looking at a manual rack from flaming river on ebay, FLAMING RIVER 1974 -1978 MUSTANG II MANUAL RACK FR1502:eBay Motors (item 370231374731 end time Jul-27-09 23:35:34 PDT)
does this have everything i need?
