Question I have some questions about T-5 bellhousing and ehaust..

I've got a complete T-5 setup in my Mustang II out of a 1983 GT bolted to a 1969 302. I know now the clearance issues a bit late. my question is, is there anyway to run exhaust with the t-5 bellhousing?

As far as I know you would have some serious clearence issues with exh with a non II bellhousing

Dynomax headers barely fit with the stock bellhousings (let's just say a sledgehammer, engine lift, heavy-duty truck jackstands, and 8 hours of work are involved).

Headmans and Hookers don't go in that much easier with the stock bellhousing.

"Try this at your own risk." comes to mind...

I am gonna be pulling the car back apart and doing some/alot of bodywork lol.. to the little guy so.. i don't know maybe i'll just do something crazy! I put my '67 cougar on hold for this project so i might as well go all out.. I am too darn stubborn to for it not to work.. With my budget i have way too much into it not to..

Buy a header kit and have some good muffler shop fab them up...would be well worth the investment

I'm pretty sure the Hookers will fit with the T5 with very minor adjustment. I'll double check with a buddy of mine who has headers and a T5 in his 77 T-top...

Default t-5 and exhaust

I have a '77 hatch back and am going to put a healthy 302 in it.
For the exhaust it will be made up of fox body components, big tube shorty headers and "X" or "Y" pipe, of course the frame rails will have to be notched, boxed and reinforced.
Depending on you're fabrication skills, it might be the way to go.
Good luck, Chris

Good luck.

Shorty headers exit right where the crossmember is on a Mustang II.

Default bellhousing

I have been waiting years for a solution for this.
Someone on this foum pionted me to Quicktime Inc. I spoke to the owner , Ross< and I bought a 6053 bell housing kit.
It is a II configuration with a mounting pattern for a T-5 or TKO.
This will eliminate header problems as the fork is at 7 o'clock as opposed to the fox bell at 9. Uses stock clutch cable (availabe at your local parts store fo about 50 bucks) and the fox fork.
Super nice kit great company --HIGHLY recomended
