Default 1974 Mustang rear?

I am getting a free 351w engine, so i decided to go with it than go with a stock 6 cylinder. Will a 6.75 be okay or an 8 inch rear end be sufficient enough or will i need to go bigger? Thanks

I know this is a stupid question but how do you beef up an 8 inch rear end or any rear end for that matter?

Any application with that much torque would be a fun scene when you got on it after a few times and blow the pinion out of the pumpkin or shave off the teeth.
