I am looking for the original size tire, 195 70 R 13, to replace the dry rotted ones on my Mustang II. Only problem, I cant find them anywhere. I work in a tire store, and I know a few people in the business, and they all said they cant get them. So, two ways to go. First, where can I find the original size. Or second, what size seems to complement the Mustang II the best from all of your experience. We have some ideas of what will work, just want to know from what you all have had. Thanks!

I had the same damn problem. But if you know people in the busness you should be able to get you're hands on some 185/70/R13's which I think are not out of production like the 195's. Good luck and if you find some tell me where to pick them up.

You can still get P175/70R13s They are the OE size on late-model Hyundai Accents, so they're still readily available. They'd be a bit narrower, but it's not like the stock tires on our cars had a real contact patch to begin with.

195/60/13s from Sumitomo.

Decent brand, only the tiniest bit less aspect ratio than stock, you'll probably never notice the difference and your speedometer might be off by all of 1 or 2 mph. On top of that, they're the same width as the factory tire, with less sidewall flex, so your handling might actually be the tiniest bit better.
