I am getting a 1988 Ford Bronco engine to put in my 1974 Mustang II. It is a 6 cylinder, but i am wondering if there will be any problems. Also what transmission would be the best to go in with that engine? Thanks

By the way, that is a 1988 Bronco II. Don't know if that makes any difference.

You might have some issues with the engine from the 88 bronco ii. its not exactly the same. the 88 had the 2.9, which is a fuel injected motor. im not sure how hard it is to swap those over, with it not being the same one. if you go earlier, the 2.8 (which is found in the mustang ii) is found in the first bronco ii to the i believe 85 is the last year they used it. if you used that one, youll need some parts from youre ii, but should make out alright.
