Question Will these parts work in my 78 302?

Comp Cams EVL-2015 and GT40 heads? Does anyone know of any good rebuild kits for the 302? What type of piston should I go for? (Cast iron, cast aluminum, or hypereutectic aluminum pistons) I will be going for just under 9 DCR and about 185 psi cylinder pressure.

The GT40 heads should work fine with your 302, as for the Comp Cams EVL-2015, I believe it is a camshaft for a v-twin motorcycle .
You can fine some real nice rebuild kits at Brands at SummitRacing.com: all the best performance manufacturers in one place and some real nice camshafts.
As for type of piston, I would go with Forged, but they do cost a little more.

That is why I ask. I found that on a compression ratio calc and figured the duration would work. I don't know much about durations, but on the calculator it measures when the intake closes after bottom dead center. And does anyone know what cam would be best? (24 deg ABDC seemed best)

Your duration is the degrees (angle) of camshaft rotation that the valve stays off it's seat. With increased duration, the engine will make power at a higher RPM (valve stays open longer).
Your cam choice depends a lot on what rpm you will be running the engine at to produce power (low end or top end). A real balancing act.

Nice, I think I found another cam, but I am still not sure it is what I need. CC Hydraulic. I am looking for HP and Torque under 4500 rpm, and with the calc I was looking at said that the duration of the EVL-2015 (24deg ABDC) would work for my DCR and cylinder pressure. The hydraulic cam has a 224/224, I don't know how to relate that to the 24 ABDC...
