Default how to remove 1976 mustang cobra oil pan?

What do you need to do to remove oil pan from 76 mustang cobra 2-302

you are gonna need to drain the oil, remove the big nut holding each motor mount, then take a bottle jack and a piece of wood and jack the motor up till the motor mounts are out of the saddles......then remove the bolts from your oil pan, and lower the pan......you may or may not be able to remove the pan do to clearance issue's with your k member, but if you are trying to remove it all the way out of the car, you will have to remove the bolt's from the oil pump and remove the 1 bolt that is holding your pic up tube..........
myself, i would get a 2 piece gasket, and while you are under the car, don't remove your pump and stuff, just clean up the mating surface on the pan and the block, clean where the front and rear rubber gasket's are going to go, use a small amount of silicone and reinstall every thing..........

Default oil pan

thanks for the info, I was afraid of that. Do I also need to remove the tranmission mount?

i had to do same thing with mine even if it was a 351 windsor.A cleveland will fit if you find exhaust to work......FYI
