Reason: Updating
Matt, I think part of the reason this forum is not being utilized is because of the long-established Mustang II forums / e-mail exchanges / websites. The Mustang II crowd is not accepted by many (most)Mustang organizations so their owners and fans started their own 'support groups' associated with mustangii.org and mustangii.net. I've been involved with the dot-org site for about 4 years now. I think a lot of the folks utilizing the resources from those sites are content where they are as they have been using them for their tech questions, buying and selling parts, etc, for years. I was personally drawn to AFM because of the fact that it accepts all Mustangs as Mustangs, even the often-forgotten and neglected II. It is a refreshing change from the norm.
I am not sure what could be done to draw more II owners to AFM. I do know that I and they won't be drawn away from the mustangii.org and mustangii.net sites. Like me, they will hopefully see AFM as another great source for information and sense of community in addition to the II-specific sites.

Point taken, I know people won't come over in large numbers, but if we made our presense known, I think some curious people would at least stop by and post a thing or two... That would get the ball rolling....

Hello, I just joined today... I have a little cobra II I have owned since the mid 80s. They are great cars although mine is garaged right now for storage and covered with a bit of dust. But It runs and feels great. Allan Klingler
I kind of went inactive on the other forum at mustangii.org since I got tired of the legions of morons flaming each other in a hundred plus email today. A sensible moderator would woo me back with legitimate conversation topic and the ability to not have 100+ email sent to my box every day.
Hey, welcome, NICE website! I really like the cobra graphics you have there. Hope to see more pics of your car soon.

Idahovideo- I'd really like to see some upclose and personal pics of those headers!! Getiing headers to fit in these cars with certian engine/trans combos is really a challenge!

But i'll keep checking in to see if any questions I need have maybe been answered. I build engine stands on the side to get some money to start on my baby If anybody need a stand to work on or store thier spare engine drop me a line fordrules@wholenet.net Thanks an keep up the good fight!
the forgoten mustang, the mustangII, if not for these cars there would not be a mustang now. sure the 1974 mustang had 140 hp. SO WHAT!!
the mustang II is, an always will be a mustang!!
so i need your pic's of your cars.
thanks for keeping a part of the mustang heritage alive. just my 02.
HELLO??? Is anyone on this site anymore? This site is like a ghost town with tumbleweed. I've asked like three questions about 3 months ago and never got any response.
I don't check-in regularly anymore, but try to see what's going on in the II forums every once in a while. Yes, it is REALLY quiet around here. It's too bad... I still love the site, but it's hard to get folks to migrate away from the II-specific sites. I personally like to check out any Mustang site that is accepting of the '74-'78 models as a long-time owner of one.

I always prefered the email lists. Much easier to keep up with than checking out the various forums.
I just signed up. Had my II for 20 years. Front end customization, shaker hood scoop, headers, T-5 conversion, 5 lug conversion, 4 wheel disks and 15 wheels.
Hit various shows in Ohio, MI, IN and PA. Missed the last 2 Carlisles.
Be glad to offer any help in the forum or emailed.
