Default Vacume presure on brakes

I have a 76 mustang 11 cobra with a 302 an a oversized cam how much vacume presure should it have on the brake boster??? I have a vacume resivoir for the brakes but i think i should have a better petal than i do????????

At least 12+, also inspect the check valve.

Have you replaced the brake fluid?
If not have it changed completely using a vac pump. That will clean the lines from old junk, old fluid and will improve the braking a bit more.

if your cam is too big you will loose all your vacuum and have to do something with your brakes.
