I'm pretty sure it could be done with a lot of exhaust fabrication work (custom headers, downpipes, etc.) one trick to putting them in a fox-body (MM & FF had an article on one such car, and I've seen another in person) is turning shorty headers upside down so that they exit at the top and towards the front, then mounting the turbos there, then running the exhaust down and below the headers., something similar could probably be done in a II (though I'm not 100% sure since I've never tried it)
Another possible approach could be to do them like those kits for the 4th-gen F-bodies that places the turbo underneath the car with a pipe that returns to the front for the air, I seriously considered a twin-turbo setup along those same lines in my old Chevy pickup until I decided to just run a bigger engine and bigger carburetor for simplicity's sake. I still hope to build a twin-turbocharged street car (who knows, maybe even my II) someday, but I've got other dreams and realities that need to be fulfilled first.
