Talking 2.3L Carb and Cam Change

If I were to install a mild cam in my 2.3L, would I need to change the stock carb? If so, would the stock intake be okay to use with an upgraded carb?

Thanks for the help!

It would benefit you if you change the carb, and if you do change the carb, im pretty sure youll need a intake for it to bolt onto. Go to www.racerwalsh.zoovy.com and have a ball, youll find everything you want, trust me.

I would just change the whole top half while I had it apart. You will have to go with new lifters away when you change your cam. The pushrods are already 30 years old and the same for the rockers. A new carb is a must. You might be able to slide with your old ntake but I would upgrade it as well. You don't have to build a road demon but you mise well do all of the work while your changing your cam. Makes know since on doing double work.

i agree with nigel as for the intake it doesnt have to change if your going to go with a bigger carb if you anyone at a machine shop you can work it a bit. I had a 510cfm two barrel or somthing along the lined of that, which was a nice setup the carb came of a windsor worked like a charm.
