Question Bypass Mustang II Steering Column Ignition Switch to Dashmount?

I have a Mustang II steering column in my Cobra replica. I want to bypass the column mounted ignition switch and convert to a dash mounted switch. Any help on wiring it would be appreciated. Hints such as which wires to remove, bypassing the interlock, etc. Many thanks.

Why don't u go with a push button type setup all u need is a lock ignition switch ,on from key, and run it to a push button start switch. Also it is so cool to hit a push button to turn on the car. U can find neat push button starting switches on ebay fairly cheap.

That's one idea I thought of but I really want to do away with the column swutch all together. It has gotten sloppy and at times will not operate correctly. I considered a dash mounted on/of keyed switch with a push button start.
