Default 1976 mustangII 2.8l wont start

ok guys i was having trouble with my blinkers they wouldint flash but my hazard lights flash so im lost there.but they wouldint work so my dad told me to look at the switch so i took off the wheele and for some reason after i pulled the wheele off my ignition got stuck the key would not turn.Well i put some force on the key and it turns now but the car wont start now! i can hear the starter sylanoid by the batery making noise but it wont start.if anyone can help with both of my problums that would be great.thanks..sorry about my spelling or puncuation

If i jumpstart it starts up fine..Is it my solenoid?

could be the solenoid, battery, or starter.

Best bet is to have the battery tested at a parts store first, if it's good, then put a multimeter on the solenoid, check to see that the voltage when the key is turn is roughly the same at the starter side of the terminal as it is at the battery side, if it is, then the starter is your likely suspect.

the battery and starter is brand new. If it was the starter then it wouldint start when i jump it.am i corect

Well, i can answer your first question, you need a new flasher. Go to the parts store, tell them you need a turn signal flash for your car, itll be round and greyish blue i think. Lay on your back, head by the pedals, and put your feet on the drivers seat, switch the flasher, then curse the ford engineers for putting the fuses and stuff here, curse repetivly, and then smoke a cigarette ( if it applies) lol.

lol ya i just put my hazard flasher in its spot and it works now lol.And im gunna need 7 cartons of smokes after im done with this car lol
