Default 1976 Mustang 2.8l No Choke

hey guys my 76 cobra will run great and when it hits operating temp it dies.I can pop the hood and close the choke a little more and it will continue to run..my question is.Is there anyway i can get rid of the choke on the side of the carb it hasint worked since i got the car and it isint even hooked up..wheere do i go now? lol

Some auto parts stores still carry a manual choke conversion kit in the "HELP!" section that will allow you to either have direct control of the choke, or leave it wide open at all times, effectively eliminating it, they're not difficult to install on Ford carburetors, and work pretty well.

1976 Ford Mustang II Ghia: 302 with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Dynomax Blackjack headers, 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster Super 44s. RJS 11-gallon fuel cell, C4 tranny, chrome 16" pony wheels, fuzzy dice, brown vinyl half-top, and painted in the tackiest color ever (harvest gold, that's why I call it "The Goldenrod").

Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)
