Default Overhead map light

I have a overhead map light that I'd like to finally install.
The only problem is my car only has the "small" interior light in it now.
What I was hoping for was advise from those of you that have made this upgrade.
Photos, ideas, how-tos, been there done thats and any other help would be appreciated.
My headliner is in great shape and I'd hate to mess it up.
Thanks,
John
PS I believe I have all the mounting hardware and brackets needed.

Good lookin' II--I guess what you're talking about would be about the same-I added the map light (are you talking about a swing away type, mounted between the sunvisors?-I'm not that familiar with the Mustang II interior) to a '79 I had,a long time ago.The mounting holes were there-probe with a needle to find them-and I think the power wire was behind the upper windshield trim........or did I have to run a wire? Forgive me,it was 10-12 years ago!!
