Question Dual exhaust on 1977 Mustang II? Need advise and suggestions!

Looking to put duals on my 77 but not much room underneath and the fuel tank is off to the drivers side.
Sooooo what are you guys doing to work things out and still look good?
I am in need of a nice healthy power tone as well as a little more power.
How hard is it to squeeze the Headman long tube headers onto the stock 302? doesnt look like much room between the engine and frame.

Need ideas and photos if possible.

that is what i want to do with mine. but i still have to get the engine... my idea was to rout the exhaust to some angled tips that come out from under the car just behind each door. i thought that would look bad ass, but either way it is going to be a pretty custom job. but i know that would be less hassle than going around the fuel tank and rear end all that ****.

Just found the answer, single Dyno Max muffler with dual in dual out and built in X pipe. Just ordered it from Summit Racing.
I will have a shop remove the converter and route both pipes down the passenger side through the Dyno Max where the existing resonator is and follow up with dual pipes and chrome tips out the back. Should give me the sound, power, look and save some weight at the same time. I will post photos and results next week.

Exhaust is on and sounds great! real low healthy tone at idle, not too loud when into it and once at speed 45 - 75 sweet but not loud. I can even hear the stock am / fm radio ech!
Muffler is mounted at the back where the original was and twin pipes run from manifolds down the passenger side over the axel to the muffler, no more cat. Used 2 1/4 all the way this really made a performance difference over the stock congested system (cough cough) the muffler was $129.00 from Summit a local shop did the work for $ 160.00 out the door. System reduced weight by 57 lbs (probably due to rust build up). I painted the muffler and tips black (did not want the chrome look)
If you live in a state where you can remove the cat, I would strongly suggest this system for sound/power/ quality. the other option would be dual cats.
I will post sound video as soon as I figure out how to do it.
