Default Carburator to accel. cable issues.

Hi all!

I have been upgrading my 302 from a 2 bbl to a 4 bbl. The 2 bbl had a nipple on the throttle that would pop right into a female end in the accelerator cable. The Holley I have put on does not have that, just a round hole. Is there any reccomendations on a way to hook it up, do they sell a part that would adapt the 2? See the attatched photo. Thanks!!

I had to get one when I replaced my carb. I picked up an assortment from the auto parts store. I believe it was Holley P/N 20-2 or search "throttle lever studs" on Summit. I don't recall exactly what size it was I had to use, just measure your old one.

I seem to remember that the Holly I put on my 69 Cougar had one you screwed in or bolted in there. Those carbs are generic so they have to be adaptable.

As for your vacuum.

Fortunately you've made your life easier by going off the smog grid. I'm assuming you don't have to smog that tin can in NV, eh?

We talked about it before, but here's what I would try.

Ported vacuum to your distributor

manifold vacuum to your brake booster and your tranny.

Manifold vacuum to your vacuum reservoir (you have AC, right) and the line from that can goes to your heater valve.

Pretty simple.

I think.
