Question 1974 Mustang II 2.8 carb and distributor ??

I am helping a friend with a Mercedes Gazelle kit car and he has put a 2.8 V6 from a 74 Mustang II in it. We are trying to figure out which distributor and carb we need. We are finding a distributor with a single vacuum or a dual vacuum. Also there are a couple carbs out there for it. Any help on which of these we need is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Dustin

Any Motorcraft 2100 or 2150 carb will fit if it uses the standard 2-bbl mounting flange (as would a Holley 2300) or if it has the smaller flange it will either need a Holley, Motorcraft, or Weber 5200 (all variants of the same carburetor design, found frequently on Fords, Volkswagens, and Toyotas) or an adapter plate from Mr. Gasket and the 2-bbl. of your choice.

When it comes to distributors, if you want to go with points, use a '74 distributor with single vacuum advance for simplicity or if you want electronic ignition, use a '75-79 distributor, ignition module, and wiring harness.
