I finally got my 78 mustang 2 with a 2.3 running but it has a sloppy exhaust valve. I saw a bunch of rebuilt heads for 80s and 90s 2.3s will they swap onto my motor they are so cheap it seems like a better idea then getting mine rebuilt. I was just worried about the ccs of the heads being much lower or higher. Im hoping to maybe bump compression up like half a point and get a rebuilt head.

As long as you stay away from the turbo heads or 8-plug heads you'll be fine, they all interchange with little-to-no differences, I put all the accessories from my '74 engine directly onto an '88 cylinder head.
