I test drove a 94 GT convertible today. It was a 5-speed model and it had an aftermarket exhaust but still had the 2.73 factory gears. It drove really nice and I'm going to try to buy it if they'll sell it anywhere reasonable. One thing that surprised me though was the power, or rather lack thereof. My current 88LX w/AOD has significantly more power. I know the 94 year model and up is a lot heavier and being a convertible made it worse but I though it being a 5-speed would be the great equalizer. I didn't drag race the two or anything like that but the seat of the pants feel was quite noticeable. Having not driven a stock 94up Mustang before, I guess I was expecting it to be a lot stronger than it was. Anyone else experience something similar or am I just going crazy?

i've got a 97 GT with AODE. It feels weak on take off. I'm taking steps to remedy that:-)
