Default Tornado Damage In TN

Anybody heard from GT08TN (Big Daddy Kev) lately? He's in Jackson, TN and they took a particularly bad hit from a tornado on Monday night.
Union University suffered a lot of damage and many of the residence halls were destroyed. If this is any indication of the severity of this storm then there must be a lot of damage in the area.
The governor surveyed the path of the tornado from the air and said that he'd seen tornado damage before but had never seen a tornado track that had such a combination of intensity, size and continuous contact with the ground.
Let us hear from you, Kevin.

I was wondering the same thing. Haven't heard from him either. We didn't get too much of anything except rain and some gusty winds over here in teh Knoxville area.

The whole state of Kentucky got hit. Gov declared state of emergency here we had 7 deaths. Some places hit worse then others. I was lucky no damage here, but up the road about 4 miles alot of damage. Glad everyone is fine.

Default Tennessee Update

Well things were bad for several areas of Tennessee. 2 Counties just northeast of Nashville had 20 deaths and a natural gas pumping station which exploded after being hit by a tornado, sending flames over 500 ft high. The orange glow could be seen over 60 miles away. I'm in Clarksville, TN and nothing major here, several trees blow down. There are members in our club that live in other areas of TN that weren't as fortunate. Castallion Springs, and Gallatin, TN both north of Nashville, TN had severe damage from a F-2 tornado. Hickman and Fairview, TN as well had damage from a tornado. Just was a bad night for southwest, middle, and north central TN. The damage cover over 130 miles. I've still have a club member in Hendersonville, TN which I haven't been able to get ahold of, that area had a lot of straight line wind damage and hail in 4 inch size.

I live in Williamson County, same county as Fairview. We had the warning sirens going off til about 2:00 a.m. and sustained straight-line winds of about 50 mph but no damage to speak of. My front door is recessed into a sort of breezeway about 20 feet into the house and when I let the dog out to pee at 1:30 I was getting rained on standing in my doorway!
I hope BDK and everybody else are alright.

I have numerous family members in TN right in the path of where the tornados struck. You can go to https://disastersafe.redcross.org/ and click on search as long as you have their phone number or addresses if they have reported in to a red cross station they should be listed. Just be patient because I'm sure everything is hectic down there. Unfortunately, most of my family have moved to different parts of town and I no longer have numbers or addresses. So if someone finds a "deceased or missing" (God forbid) please let me know. Good luck to all who have family in those parts.

I think it was an 18 month old boy, I saw a picture of him, his mother was found dead near him. So so sad!
