Speaking of my fastest moving violation and my favorite 87-93 bodystyle mustang, I am a big fan of the police interceptor mustang. Some of those vehicles still see duty as highway patrol today. They are getting very rare however and it is hard to find one that is still in good condition. I hope to own a copy some day fully decked out with all the lights and paint scheme. It will probably just sit in the garage or be used for drag racing. Does anyone own one of these vehicles? If not would'nt you like to own one some day? Tell me about yours.

I can tell you a good story about being chased by one! I was on a Dark, but major street in my city, when I had just gone through the intersection (legally) and suddenly there is this mustang behind me who had made a right turn and almost hit my car. I could hear him opening it up and the lights of the car coming up fast. Suddenly he was right up on my tail (and I mean right on my tail !!!). At this point I had no idea it was a cop car. I knew it was a Mustang and I knew that there was a couple miles of open road ahead of me. Being pretty mad that this person seemed to want me off the road, I dropped into third and nailed the gas. Slamming gears up past 100mph, then the red lights flashed behind me .... This guy was a Mustang Police car!!!! I was MAD that this guy was driving this way. So, pulled hard to the shoulder expecting to give this guy a piece of my mind. He sailed around me and kept going. The thing is, I pushed my car really hard and couldn't gain an inch on this Mustang Police car. Afterwards, I was still kind of mad about and almost called to complain, but then I thought, what the heck, I just got to race a police car up past 100mph and didn't even get a ticket!!!!

I don't have a Police Interceptor Mustang, mine is more like a Police evader Mustang:smokin:

They are great cars. Many even have great history, if you could find the officiers who drove them while they were in service.

When was driving a truck, they even had some un-marked units that looked just like an everyday LX 5.0. the lights were in the rear window and they had the Red Spot for the front they had them in white and blue. I bet those are really rare.

I have one with the DSO tags still there on the radiator support. It useta be a undercover Secret Service car. My dad is a retired S.S. agent and I will be giving it to him as soon as I restore it to orignal condition. Someone had converted it for drag racing with a T5 and a few other things. Mine is a automatic car so an aod will be going back in. I am having trouble finding the oil cooler for both the trans and engine. My dad is tring to get some info. from the Secret Service so we could document as much as possible. I would like to put the three radios back in, but my dad says the Service would not like that at all so a CB, phone and a police scanner will take there places.

You will probably see the Intercepter on this site some day with my dad all deck-out with his shade on and his 45 strapped to his shoulder.
