That could work if your neighbors know the reasons for your alarm going off. Don't forget, this was posted as tips from a neighborhood watch program. If your neighbor knows about it, they would come and help or call the police.

Lord knows, I wouldn't want any females breaking into my home and having their way with me.....

Because car alarms go off so often that frankly I doubt anyone really thinks the alarm is valid... but simply ANNOYING. I agree with you, Sam, but if it's all a person can do, I say do it.
As for me, I have a loaded .32 Beretta in the night stand that I depend on. Although I do keep my car keys (purse) very near my bed....we'll call that the "back up plan."
