I encountered some one at my shop lastweek in a 2002 GT who does not need to own a mustang. He paid 2,500 for a 199.99 maco paint job. Had more waves in it than the pacific ocean. But thats not the bad stuff. He brought his car to my shop to have a new clutch, CAM, and intake put on. The mods he had so far were trick flow upper plenum (which I gave him $25.00 for) Cheap comp Cam's (which I also got for $25.00) And get this ONE header. And he had an sct scanner. I felt bad, I almost told him I would put the other header on for free. But then he got to going on about his car has 400HP and its a windsor. I popped his hood and it was a romeo powerplant. Apparent by the lack of the airtemp sensor behind the MAF and he only had 11 valve cover bolt. So I put the new stuff in for him, today he came back saying his car doesnt run right, this IDIOT tired to customize his setting with his scanner and screwed his car all up. Now he swears he has 500HP. I decide its time to show him a windsor. So I pop the hood on my car and show him the air temp sensor and the 13 valve cover bolts. Now he is pissed and wants to race. He comes back an Hours later With his car messed up again. This time I show no pitty. I take him on the road behind my shop and blow his car out of the water with my GT.
Sorry for the long post, I just thought this was funny. I know I got a good laugh

Hah I got a story that's somewhat similar. At school, right before it begins, we're standing around and hear this loud v8 revving, soundly beastly. Here comes a mid 80s oldsmobile, black. It parks, this kid who just got his license, 16, looks like he's 13, gets out. Everyone goes to look at the car and the teachers come out. He tells them he has 1100 hp with daddy's car here. Pops the hood, 350 chevy, no poweradder, not even a cam, just exhaust. Everyone began to laugh as he kept saying he had 1100 hp on street tires with no power adder. Then the teachers told him that he should keep it down before he gets yelled at and that he should take it the week after to the local strip for the high school challenge. He said he'd be there. Goes to go home and keeps on revving it. Teachers turned him in and now he's not allowed to bring that car anymore, haha. Week later he shows up at the strip, with HIS car, a stock dodge durango and got laughed at the whole day because his only excuse was he said the car didnt ave a handbrake and he didnt think it would pass...So he did race in the durango, and redlighted, people...but that guy here you're talking about, did he happen to own a VTEC before he got the stang or what? Sounds like something a ricer would do. But good job showing a real v8 man!

There is nothing like having the keys to a V8. You can show up some punk who thinks his 4 cylinder econo-box is the fastest thing on 4 wheels
That feeling never gets old..... I guess they need to learn the hardway that Pep Boys IS NOT considered a tuning shop!

Actually that is possible....I just added a new sticker and upped my horsepower by 150 to the rear wheels. At this rate, a couple more stickers and I should be well over 1000RWHP.
Go with PI heads and quit watching The Fast and the Furious. (thanks 2 IhaveadopeGT)
Remember, it is almost impossible for anyone, myself included, to diagnose a problem over the internet without seeing the car. My advice is simply that, advice based on years of experience. I don't want you or anyone taking my word as gospel. I am trying to give some direction as to what I think may be happening.
if u think that's bad... a boy i know had a 94 pontiac grand am coupe that he swore had 350HP. & he's not really that stupid most of the time. it wasn't even a gt... of course my stang is wrecked & was only a v6 but we got him in my bf's grand prix gtp with cai only & showed him what 300 something horses are really like. i just hated for my buddy to embarass himself!
