Humans can hear 20-20,000hz and children can usually here higher than 20,000. And even if you can't hear below 20hz(if your hearing is bad) you can still feel it.

These Polks beat out any of the other subs in their range that you've shown an interest in, so I'd say for the $ they're the best choice-they hit the lowest at 23hz, they have damn good sensitivity at 88db, rubber surrounds, and they have great RMS power. A win in every category as I see it-get'em. And get that p400-2 rockford amp, don't power them with some wimpy thing that'll leave you wanting more when your subs can take it.

The polks seem like a good buy for the price. A good rule of thumb is a good quality amp will cost you roughly a dollar a watt RMS. The reason I liked the comp was the frequency range coupled with the low power requirement. Long term though the polks would be a better choice. Also consider a ported box for that extra thump.

Yes, I agree with mustangIImatt, a ported box in your situation would be best since you'll be running a relatively small amp for the sub size and you'll get the most out of your watts with it.

there is also always the possibility of gettin two Mono Amps.....
i heard its a lil trickier and a more pain in the ass to get um both set right...but......when looking at the stats i can get more bang from each sub individually then with one 2-channel

or now that im looking at sum reviews.....can i hook up those two Polk/MOMO subs to one good Mono Amp ?

Yes but sound quality will suffer. Find a good 2 channel
