I have had a recent tragedy that I am putting out into the Pony community for some badly needed help. I will make this as short as possible. 3 years ago my wife left me with my 2 children and never returned. Well, that was tough but keep reading. I was never able to own my one true dream in life and after 20 years of commitment to my wife, family and allot of hard work , I was able to buy a nice restored 65 fastback.
But the ex was not cooperative and caused a 18 month divorce and never paying a dime of child support. I had to borrow against my home of 21 years to keep up. In June of 2006 I sought a lower interest rate and ended up with a loan broker who is a criminal and making a ,long story short, destroyed the rest of what was left after the divorce. He is now the defendant in a very large, 8 corporation lawsuit, but not before he along with a real estate broker and the lenders Trustee managed to take my home. My personal belongings were in my house, when I came home to find a 5 day eviction notice from the sheriff.
The new real estate broker cooperated with the contents of the house but when it came to pick up my fastback, which was 60 % completed, she managed to lock the garage door and by the time I got the legal stuff done to get the car sprung the car, and all the parts were long gone as well as my tools. This was completely crushing and I have no idea where the car is and the broker will not cooperate.
The really painful part is the upgrades. Frame off resto mod. Hedits IFS with rack and Pinion completed. &( Lincoln 9 inch rear end with 3:55 gears with a "EQUA LOK posi. A new 347 stroker with dynamically balanced eagle crank,rods, kyb hYPO'S, CAm Research roller cam, Crane roller lifters, Hardened pushrods, Edelbrock CNC'ed RPM Performer heads, EdelbrockRPM air gap mani, holley 750 double pumper,mazier electric H2O pump, Griffin Radiator, procomp Electric fan, T-5 rebuilt world class rebuilt, FPP billet flywheel, Centerforce clutch kit, JME hydraulkic clutch B&M RIP shifter, new power brakes booster and 11/4" master cylinder, all new interior, total complete to every screw other than the interior parts that I spent hundreds of hours refinishing to perfection. new 17 inch Ford OEM Cobra style wheels with spacer kit, new Kumho ECSTA $150.00 per tire radials. And there was more. I have no idea where she remover the car to, sold it(without title) .
I am just empty as i have lost everything that that I worked for and then allot more. I am asking if anyone has seen, heard, or has any ideas on how i can find my car Please PLEASE HELP ME> I do not know where else to turn except to other Fords guys and gals. You can only imagine the complete and utter crushing this has caused me. I hope the forum is not insulted by this appeal. If so please accept my deepest apologies. Please imagine the one thing in life that a poor kid , who made IT FROM A 1`2'X 50' TRAILER HOUSE
WITH 9 OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS) TO ONE OF SEVERAL VP'S OF CONSTRUCTION FOR THE WORLDS LARGEST REAL ESTATE COMPANY
TO THEN SEEING EVERYTHING BE GONE IN 18 MONTHS. But the mustang was the one thing I had dreamed of for 40 years. The car was in the airport area of Los Angeles when the witch hauled the car away. She is a so called prominent community citizen. Just a criminal by greed. Help me if you can. I will never see another chance to own another Mustang if I can't recover this one.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Paul. This sounds like an instance where consulting a lawyer would help. Perhaps you can report the car stolen? Just ideas floating through!

Actually, regardless of the title situation, unless the landlord had a lean in the car, contact the Sheriiff's office or constables office that did the eviction, the eviction process has its guidelines as well, your tools and property that were in the garage are no different than the property in the house, what is yours is yours. Obviously their are three sides to every story, his, hers and the truth. But in reference to your car sitting in the garage that you were being evicted from, it is still your car. Sounds like to me this corporate snake attorney/landlord has a huge lawsuit on their hands.

Very true! If they did not get a court order demanding you turn over those possessions, they are stolen. I would not only report them stolen, but find an attorney that is willing to help you fight! Keep us posted!

Sorry that I didnt put all my thoughts/opinions in one thread, but as most stuff, one needs to brainstorm a bit. If the landlord took the property on 'good faith' ie, money owed etc, their should still be a property hearing etc, but the sheriff's dept and or constables are still involved. Every state is different and every situation is different. Good luck, stay strong, keep us posted. Who is the culprit? Name, addy etc.

If I am correct, even in good faith, they can not dispose of your property until they obtain a judgment against you. Stay on top of them for sure, if you owe nothing press the issue harder!

I would keep an eye on ebay and craigslist, and see if your parts, and car start to show up. If so notify the police and wherever you found them that they were stolen. We had to do this with my edsel. A year after we got it, some sneaky attorney for my parents mortgage company came by the house, said that he had to examine the house to figure something out. A couple days later I left for Florida. When I got back, the edsel and its portable carport were missing. I called the police, because I found most of its interior on ebay, and I found the body and engine had been sold to some guy in Minnesota. They notified ebay, and all the buyers, and caught the guy. It's now in once piece, but the carport wasn't with the guy.

I don’t know how you have managed to keep your cool. If I were you (and it’s a good thing I’m not) she would have woken up in the middle of the night with my .45 sticking out of her mouth and me politely asking for my car back.

another thing you can do is call your local news station and tell them what happen, they may put the word out for you about those suckers to the public, plus, people who do business in the public hate bad press including the authorities.
