I was wondering what everyone's driving record looks like. I have a lot of friends that compain about tickets they got while in the 'stang'. I havent gotten any tickets in my GT yet, and I feel that there are a lot of people that are more careful when driving. I want to prove that not every Mustang owner drives like a bat out of hell, or gets caught So I want to know when, what kind of ticket, what kind of car, and what happened. List em out everybody.
Tickets:
1. Caught going 68mph in a 50mph when I was 16 in a 2005
in a Mercury Mountaineer V8. He only gave me a 5mph over that
got dropped to impeding traffic. No points, not on my driving
record luckily.
2. Caught going 50mph in a 40mph when I was 18 in 2007 in a
2007 Limited Escape V6. Got a 5 over that I got out of by
writing a 3,000 word essay on the hazards of unsafe driving.
Since those two times that I lucked out, I drive the speed limit for the most part, and am smart about the times that I do speed. I feel that I learned my lesson. Anybody else?

1) doing 50 in a 45 in my Mom's '95 Astro van. I was on my way home from looking for a new car to replace my LTD, and wasn't paying attention to my speed. It probably should have been closer to 10 over, but it was my first ticket, and he was nice to me. this one's not on my license anymore.
2) on US30 in Ohio, was ticketed for 14 over in my '97 Grand Marquis, but had cruise set at 5 over. I was nice to him, but the patrolman was in a bad mood, and said I was going 20 over and he was cutting me a break! I figured it was best not to argue.
3) 88 in a 65 in the Marquis, and I was lucky he didn't get me for racing...I was having a little too much fun with a guy from work in a F-150. That was one of those "OH S#$% !" moments.
That's it. Nothing in the Mustang, except for one "rolling warning" when I was doing about 7 over in Missouri. I try not to drive more than about 5 to 10 mph over the limit.

Clean as a baby's behind now. Back in the 80's with my 86gt I got a couple, one in Ohio (There's a big surprise ) Caught by a helicopter. (Threw out the radar detector the next day) And one going 50 aroung a curve in a 35. (I love curves) even after the cop warned me about it earlier.

17 yrs old - 10mph over on the highway
23yrs old - 19 over on interstate
23 yrs old (3 mo later) - 15 over on highway through town.
0 wrecks 1 tint ticket.
The 15over pisses me off. it was dark, traffic was HEAVY i was in the inside of 3 lanes, cop was sitting on the opposite side of the road and there were cars in front of me but im the one who gets pulled over ( i was goin with traffic - its chicago lol)
the 2 at 23 (just a year ago) are supposed to be non convictions & also no points on my record. We will see i guess.
I've been pulled over in my stang, but I get out of them by being honest and respectful. They have only been for minor things, like 5 over, and result in a warning. We were taking pictures on top of a parking structure one time and on our way down a few cops stopped us and said they had reports of cars doing donuts on top and speeding up through the parking structure. My friend and I got out of that too. We weren't doing donuts and we both run dumps so we figured that people just heard loud cars. I did set off a few car alarms though

A clean record is the best thing to have when you get pulled over, evey cop that has let me off has said something like, "you have a clean record, so I'm going to help you out today".

Your usually good below 10mph over the limit. Any ticket under 10mph is weak. Some officers dont account for adjustments in the speedo, not all cars are calibrated.
My record has a red light violation at 18. I also got a citation at 20 for cruizing on Datona beach with my door open a crack for air, as my a/c went down that day. The line of traffic moves at 5 mph at best on the sand. You know your getting a citation when the cop races up to you in a ATV, hot and cranky for dealing with the beach goers.
I had 6 points on my record before I was 18! My first car was a '97 v6 stang with tru-duals and glasspacks. Got caught twice smoking my tires, but NO SPEEDING TICKETS! Then in other cars I had a bunch of speeding tickets and another careless driving ticket.
After all those tickets I figured I'd take it easy. Since I got my '94 GT I've gotten 2 speeding tickets, but both of them were only 10 over, so I paid them and they didn't go on my record! In March of this year my record is wiped clean!
The two tickets I've gotten recently I was actually going 20 over on one of them and 30 over on the other, but got out of them by being honest and "yes sir" "no sir" ing my way out of them.
They'll ask "is there a reason you were speeding?", "No sir, not really just trying to get there faster"... I learned if you're just brutally honest it usually leads to less trouble.
I've lived here my whole life so I pretty much know where cops post up for speed traps, but I still take it pretty easy.

Nothing on my record now, but two tickets years ago.
One for speeding on I-90 in New York, going 77 in a 65 cost me $90.
The other was the fun one. I made a left turn through a traffic light that had a "No Left Turn" sign, and I didn't see the sign until I was already out in the intersection and turning. It was going to be a $78 fine, with points. In NJ, there's a scam where you can go to court, talk to the DA beforehand and plead guilty to a charge with no points, but a larger fine. So I did that so I didn't end up paying more for insurance.
And that was a blast... I had to sit through a bunch of other cases that made me feel a lot better about my life! Let's see:
The guy with a DUI, a refusal to take a breathalyzer, and another DUI. His lawyer was arguing that the refusal wasn't counted towards the three DUI's required for a stiffer punishment.
The old lady, driving without insurance. The story went that the police had caught her daughter for something, and they called her to come pick her daughter up. So, the little old lady drives to the police station without insurance, because they told her to come. In the parking lot, her car catches fire, and the cops put it out for her, and did a routine license/insurance/registration check. She was told to just get the car insured, and provide proof, but no fine.
And, finally, the guy who was being charged with missing a hearing for one crime, because he was in jail in a different jurisdiction for a different crime.
I ended up getting a $180 fine, with no points, and a really entertaining evening!

i just got a 10 over, just from taking off and though i was backin off, and he said he could see that, still clocked me at that. the main road through branson mo, the"strip" is one of those roads people drive 15-20, posted at 35. its a sight see`rs place. my ticket was 5:30 a.m. on the way to work, i just drove a mile behind a guy doing 15 till he turned off, then i was the only car on the road. i also got a warning for the tint. i swear though when i pass a cop, they slam on their brakes and pull u turns if they can, and then look for something they can nail me on. my car is a magnet.
