I have found both cars selling for about the same price in my area and I'd like to hear the pros and cons to both?
with the whole "Ford vs. Chevy" rivalry aside, what are your opinions on these two cars?
Thus far I have considered things like insurance cost, maintenance cost, depreciation, gas mileage, cost of modification, stock performance, modded performance, etc. However, outside views are always good for opening one's eyes to alternatives.
I Hate GM, deal with it.

well i have a friend with a 04 cobra and another with a 6 speed vette and the vette has $900 in bolt ons and it still gets dusted...its not a Z06 vette though...but still i think the mustang looks better, sounds better, and its supercharged...JMO

Why not take both of them on a test drive. That way you could take into consideration issues like blind spots, comfort, ease of driving, etc...
I haven't had a chance to do that yet. There is a dealer about 15 minutes from where I live where both cars I found online are at. So I am going to setup an appointment to go look at them both side by side. I am just trying to hear opinions from other people in case you guys can think of something perhaps I forgot to consider.
I have driven both and I prefer the terminator. The vette handles better, and I think looks better (don't shoot guys), but I like the feel of the terminator much better, its cheaper and easier to mod and repair, has more stuff available in the aftermarket, and it will dust a stock vette. $900 in bolt-ons for a vette is nothing, may get you mufflers. They're both great cars and very well made, bottom line the vette handles better, the cobra is faster and more practical (that whole backseat and trunk that holds more than your girl's purse.

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's
stock HP: 'vette wins 400 vs 390 for the Cobra (same numbers for torque)
weight: 'vette wins 3179 pounds versus 3665 for the Cobra (if both are coupes)
EPA mileage: 'vette wins 18city/28highway versus 17/24 for the Cobra
body construction: fiberglass 'vette can never rust versus steel bodied Cobra
I normally only consider looks and performance (limited by my available funds) when choosing a car. The 'vettes lighter weight and lower center of gravity will help it outperform a stock Cobra. (Aftermarket performance parts are readily available for both.) Styling is strictly a matter of personal preference. (I like the looks of both of your chioces, but I don't love the looks of either.) Corvette wins in the performance category: the choice in styling is up to you.
But the main reason to buy the 'vette over the Cobra is the '05 'vette is the first year of the C6 body style. The body design is identical to the 2009 'vette, so the '05 still looks like a brand new car. And with GM's current financial problems, all funds for development of a C7 next-gen 'vette design have been squashed and the C7 put on hold. The '05 C6 'vette will continue to look current for years to come. The '04 Cobra was the last year of the '99 to '04 new-edge style SN-95 Mustang. The S197 Mustang has been out for five years already and is now even being updated into the 2010 model. The '04 Cobra looks cool but it also looks outdated compared to the 'vette.
