SO let me fill you in first before you come to a odd conclusion about this. i have a 1994 mercurey cougar with the 3.8L. well i ended up blowing the motor on it and decided to fix it up. well one thing lead to another and my original plan was way exceded. i ended up doing the 4.2L stroker kit with a .030 over bore and the splitport swap from a 99 v6 mustang all ported and polished and tons of other add on's. its a really nice set up, well here lies my on going problem. i originally purchased a chip for the set up, (a mail in chip) it worked ok for a bit but i could always tell it wasn't the full potential. more like 50% of it. so i bought the software and a wideband o2 set up and was able to get it a little closer. well eventually i needed to get the car datalogged on a dyno. unfortunately, the dyno shops in my area dont and cant datalog a obd1.

So my thoughts are in this. If i put the effort into converting from OBD1 to OBD2 the problem "should" be solved. what do you all think???
