I'm not sure that allocation is the sole reason why a dealership does or does not stock any Mustangs.

I know allocation applies to special editions from SVT, Shelby, etc. And I am aware Ford allocated S197 Mustangs based on existing inventory levels of pre-2005 models sitting on lots.

But in general doesnt the dealership determine what they want to sell?

Maybe you do need to open that wound again and clarify this.

You may be correct about the dealership not wanting to stock the Mustangs. The allocation thing I was referring to was about Dealerships that were only allocated a certain amount of cars, in my case the SN197 GT's. My dealership was only allocated 3 GT's for 05. Which is the reason why I couldn't get an 05 and had to order again for the 06.

Theres a Ford dealership in the town my dad lives in in Kansas (Lucas, KS), only a pop of about 500. Only has like 6 vehicles, and even they had a Shelby GT500 out.
