That push bar makes the truck look like its frowning. Maybe its sad because it knows people add cool things like spoilers and splitters to the front of Mustangs, but only add bulky things like push bars and snowplows to the front of pickups.

Hey Mr. V,

On another note - did you sell the MGB or do you still have that bad boy?

I still have he MGB, or at least most of it. I had listed the MGB and the engine (and parts) seperately, and only a couple of the bolt-ons sold (i.e. the 500 CFM carb, the billet pulleys, the aluminum mini starter and the aluminum bellhousing). I had a winning bidder for the car itself but as expected he flaked out.

On another note, I just got back from the body shop...holy cow! The amount to replace the bumper and repaint the piece between the grill and bumper is $1500....HOLY SCHNIKES BATNMAN, I was expecting around $700. They want nearly $600 just for the chrome bumper. I found some on ebay (new) for $150 but they did not have the round foglights (they had the square ones of the 2004-2005).

On the good side, my body shop wants to hire me as an attoreny for an upcoming real estate deal....so maybe we can trade.

I just found a place that sells the chrome bumper w/round foglights for $254....sounds like a much better deal than the shop (which was nearly $600 for the same thing, likely from Ford)

I'd be hard pressed to let that project go but you gotta do what ya gotta do!

I had a 67 Triumph Mark III and had to let it go and I've been distraught about it ever since. My love for the little British roadsters started when my dad had his 60's vintage MG Midget back when he was a chopper pilot in the AF. I always loved the "B's" but my heart was in the Triumph camp. Maybe one day I'll find one again with original knock-off hubs and such.

Ahhh... memories.

And on topic - that's too bad about the bill for the repair but like you said maybe you can work a little trade.

Keep us posted...

One of my friends has a 1973 Triumph Spitfire that he completely restored. Of course, I can't fit in the thing, but it looks really sharp!

And, MrV, it's not really a truck unless it has some dents!

Ok folks, this IS ME we are talking about, you remember the guy who was anal about a clean car and is a perfectionist to the max....as if I could really live with ANY dents in ANY of my vehicles...come on, I would not have been able to be the Pampered Pet Registry President for so long if I allowed that.

Dang man that kinda sucks. Get that other bumper and work a trade with the body shop for 'services rendered' (it was out there and I couldn't resist).

I just started looking for mods for my Explorer. I've been unable to mod ANYTHING for over 2 years and now I've got the bug again.

That sounds so much like me. My 2000 F-150 still looks pretty much like it did the day I drove it home. I have always had even the smallest items taken care of.
My neighbor across the street keeps threatening to bring his Thunderbird over for me to detail. I told him that was fine. Then again, he probably wouldn't want to drive it again when I was done.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
