Default I had a bummer of a day

My F-150 was my daily driver for nearly a year, then I decided to get my little Fod Focus SVT (to be practical or something). I sold the Focus a few weeks ago and my F-150 has since become my daily driver.

Monday was a very wet day here in Northern California....needless to say, I under estimated my stopping distance and hit a very slick part of the road...sadly to say, I ended up "kissing" a Toyota Tacoma truck (a mid 90's). Here is the real bummer part, I only scratched the bumper of the Toyota, but I managed to dent and push my front bumper back. It really is a sad day when a Toyota Tacoma is tougher than my Ford F-150.

My friends joke and tell me my truck now has character....I prefer less character and more neatness.

Apparently you're being punished for selling the Mustang.

I am dying to see the facial expression of my body shop, for once I will actually be bringing them collision repair work instead of custom work.

I am going to take advantage of the situation and upgrade my truck with a new billet grill, a stainless steel tubular grill guard, a new hard tonneau cover and maybe new dual exhausts.

See? There's always a silver lining...

I agree, though, you're being punished by the Mustang gods.

I know I know, I feel it too. Ironically, I bought the F-150 because it was supposed to be my tow vehicle for shows that were more than an hour away..and becasue I love trucks (almost as much as I love muscle cars). Maybe my truck is mad at me since its only duty is to be a daily driver and not to haul the Mustang to shows.

I agree.

Glad nobody was hurt.

Maybe you should look into a new Platinum edition F150..

I seriously would, except for the fact that my current F-150 is nearly worthless (in resale value only), and since I already took one heck of a beating on the sale of the Stang, I am not sure my wallet can afford to take another huge beating on the truck too. If I bought a new platnum edition, I would have a huge loss on my current truck and a huge cost in acquiring the new truck....I will wait a bit for that purchase.

It is coincedental that this has happened soon after the sale of the Mustang. Your Mustang has feelings and I suspect that it has been talking to your F-150 about the situation. So it was agreed that your pickup would take a dive because it has been upset to lose his garage buddy.
Have you signed onto an F-150 forum yet?

Then it is a real good thing that the Mustang and the F-150 have not got to talk to the Focus....I could really be in trouble.

On another note, I logged onto a F-150 Forum the week I bought the tuck, for I had a question on how to remove the stock fuel filler door in order to put on my billet aluminum fuel filler door.

Wait a minute! You have friends? When did that happen?

Sorry. That was a Jay Leno style joke. Couldn't help myself.
Of course you probably have as many personal friends as you do here on AFM (which is no small number, to be sure). Sorry about the truck. But it doesn't depress me like your selling the Mustang did.

Are you sure about this?

Perhaps they are plotting revenge for splitting up the stable..
