so yesterday i went to captian d's with my fiance and she asked me what did i name my car and i have no idea so now were lookin for one and i was just curious as to what other people named there mustang
I think we're all very interested in MUSTANGS, that's why we're here in this community. lol. Personally, I call mine "my life"... but that is very generic. Isn't that car your life also?
My mom calls it the WHITE DOVE, my dad calls it the BULLET, my brother calls it the BEAST... so, pretty much everybody's got a nick for it. HahahahaHA... I hope you found a nickname for yours already.
I never named mine but the women at work that park next to started calling it "The Beast", maybe a little loud I guess. Had a 302 Courrier my son started calling little "Snort", guess it was loud also.
Dave
That's because it is a beast, not because of the loudness... but name your car and fall in love with it. Just drive carefully. By the way, NICE RIDE!
I can't take the credits, because my friend was the one who told me about it and I spent a full hour laughing after I understood.
She called my 2001 White Convertible MUSTANG a
"WHITE KNIGHT STANG"
I was seeeeriously laughing sooo hard, because after you realize what that sounds like... it's hilarious!
So, now it's a WHITE KNIGHT STANG!
LOL!!
(Just in case nobody gets is, it's about being up all night. I know, just obscene. lol)
Back in her car show days, we trailered her to a show. Now, trailering a car that runs and drives perfectly well is counter to my sensibilities, so I jokingly called the car the trailer queen...and it stuck.
The '68 I had in high school was named Lola. No real reason other than that I loved the movie Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run) and it sounded like a suitibly spunky, slightly old-fashioned name for the car.
The other Stangs never really had nicknames...

I dont know the name of my car yet but I know its a male...Females are a pain.
I know what you mean. Like I said, I named mine Oliver after Richard Hammond's 1964 Opel Kadette B in Top Gear's Botswana challenge. It fit and he is like the Opel. He may break down every once in a while but he always comes back better than before.
reading all of these names has prompted me to name my own stang since i have been neglecting it and just havent found the right name yet.. but i am fairly confident that i have found a name for my baby.. it is from now on to be named Selene.. named after Selene the greek goddess of the moon and the silver shine she gives off
i bought a 97 GT for my now ex-wife. the silverish grey color just called out to me and her name just fit. "Ghostrider" make it unique.... don't try too hard to find one, it will just come to you. be patient....
I call mine Uncle Sam, because I was listening to "U.S. Blues" by the Grateful Dead while thinking of a name. Plus it's fitting being the "All-American" car, etc.
My 1996 got the name "LIL PURP" by some of my buddies because its the 3.8 and its purple. Ill see if changes here once i get the V8 in her.(3.8 lives no more)
I call mine "Green Hornet" because it looks almost stock, but it has a hidden stinger.
I know... underestimate your enemy and you have just lost the battle.
Hey, take care of the hulk. I know I'm gonna hijack the thread but I need to ask the question. Do you have a Vacumm leak too? What's that exactly? I don't appreciate the hissing noise... lol.
