Smile All Ford Mustangs Magnet - Support Our Troops?

Hey so i was thinking about making a magnet that sponsors AFM? I was thinking about the "Support Our Troops" Design on its side with the AFM symbol in the middle and "Member" on the top and "Support Our Troops" on the bottom, i am working on a prototype right now so bear with me, But the main question is.....who will buy, if I get these made I am just curious who will be interested? Im 19 deployed to Iraq and I have some spare time so i figured i would try to make something that everyone could enjoy, i am not doing this for profit, i would charge the price for magnet and shipping, no more than that. Just trying to start a thing.

Please let me know what you all think, And if you have any suggestions please feel free to pipe in and let me know.

Very Respectfully,
-Travis

PS. Colors would be, Black Background with Red Lettering and the AFM Symbol in the middle.

More to come!!!

I would be interested. I guess it would just come down to cost. For my senior project I am sending care packages to a platoon currently deployed in the middle east.

**UPDATE**

I am corresponding with the company that makes the magnets and i am trying to get them for close to nothing if possible, and if that doesnt work out i will probably just come out and buy them and send them free mail. I will definately keep you all posted and i am very happy to see so much positive feedback. Thanks again for the support you guys, and one more quick question for the forum moderators...Do i need special permission to put your logo on a magnet or ??? Thanks again guys.

Travis Lewandowski
=)

Hi Travis!

Love the idea, think it's an awesome idea... in fact, I'd be in for a few!!

As for permission to use the logo, yes - you would need that permission from the site owners. They are busy the next few days, so be patient!! - but I suggest contacting CathyHalliday to firm things up and get final approvals!

Again, excellent idea! and thank you for your service!!

I work in the printing industry.... web is a great thing - some of the time ... but technically, for printing on paper and items such as magnets, the quality won't be good at all - even though it may look good on your screen. What program are you working in? I have available a high res photoshop or illustrator file...

Um......Er......Paint? I know it sounds fuzzy but like i said i am just trying something out, are you talking about sending those? Any suggestions or advice is well needed and appreciated. What i am thinking about doing is getting a hold of a magnet company and having them made, but i figured i would hold off on that until i get permission from cathy to use the logos. I am about as computer"ly" inclined as a calculator, but i do know paint! Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.

OK, outdoor die cut magnets are expensive for an individual to purchase... Indoor magnets are quite a bit cheaper... they're lighter weight and used for indoors so no UV coating, no special inks, no heavy weights.

That would be a good starting point... deciding indoor or out.

I'd like to see your vision become a reality.... Let's PM a little about this - We produce 4 color magnets that are indoor - but.... they are business card sized and a little larger... they would be fridge type mags... no ribbons or round... but photo quality.

If you want outdoor/die cut - there is a substantial cost difference.

If you wanted to do a rough design, I would take it and rework it so it prints well. It's totally up to you. But let's PM - its all good and very doable but a little more planning than you anticipated probably lol
