I just found out from the hotel that I have until 6 pm on Saturday to cancel if I need to......so I am golden. I would already be there by then if the weather cooperates.
So I can wait until Saturday to see what the weather brings.
The other question....will The Whiskey Cafe even hold their Saturday show if the weather is miserable ? I'm thinking that they would not.
I should have set a rain date when I first came up with this idea...for the following weekend. I selected June 20 because that was one of the days Stlwagon had available and he can't even make it anyway....lol.
Ugh....I just heard the weather report on the radio for Saturday....and the quote was "but the rain comes back in for Saturday, especially for the mid-afternoon".
This is really not looking good.....but at least I don't have to make a decision until the last possible moment. I would also call The Whiskey to see if the event is cancelled or not.
I stopped taking the weather man's word for it, often they will predict "Severe Storms" and it will rain for 10 min and be sunny the rest of the day.
I guess we will have to wait till Saturday morning to know for sure. Would be a serious bummer, ive also been looking forward to this and making sure the car was prepped to meet its brothers and sisters.

So have I....and I will be there unless the day is a complete washout. If I drive through a shower I will have my detailing supplies with me, complete with my Obsessive Detail Waterless Wash and can just give my car the once over with that....lol. One thing good about having a vert, less exterior to clean.....lol.

Seriously, what is with this weather!? I don't think I've seen more than 8 sunny days within the last month.
If it's raining on Saturday I probably won't be coming, unless it's just off/on showers, in which case I'll just bring some quick detailing supplies, well, I'll bring them no matter what. You never know what's going to land on your car during a 2 hr drive.

My husband and I were talking this morning, we're both a little depressed - after all, he went and bought another Mustang just for this event...... this rain is a super downer... I know on a nice night - the Whiskey can have upwards of 300+ cars... on a rainy night - I've never been there ... so I have no clue if they still hold the show or not... I am thinking many of the cars are garage queens... so I am thinking no... but give them a ring - you never know!

Well the weather outlook for tomorrow has definitely taken a turn for the worse.....now according to the forecasts the entire day looks like a complete washout with periods of heavy rain.
I called The Whiskey and they told me to call back tonight when they will make the call as to whether to cancel their event or not. But I'm guessing it's going to be cancelled.
I really think the prudent thing to do at this point is to reschedule the meet for another Saturday.....perhaps a week from tomorrow.
What does everyone think ? I have to admit, I doubt I am going to drive 2˝ hours if the weather is going to be like that, especially if the show at The Whiskey is cancelled.
And just to tick us off even more.....I just heard this stat on the radio....while we have been getting soaked with rain, Seattle just ended their record dry streak at 29 days when it rained there yesterday....I tell ya, there is no justice....

I guess we will have to wait till Sat tomara morning to make a decision, the whiskey may cancel the show but if a freak change in weather happens, people will prolly show just to get out of the house. Im only 1 hour away, so ill make it if its not pouring, theres been a few weekends so far this season that started out terrible in the am and turned out to be a beatifull day
Im not sure i can make it next week but i will try my best if it comes to that.
