Judi....another member PMed me with another idea for this date and I think it could be a good one since we can still do The Whiskey thing in the evening.

Apparently NJ Stangers are having a Mustang show during the day on 8/15 from 10 am until 4:30 pm. I believe it's in Toms River and is to benefit the American Cancer Society. We could actually have people meet for the show during the day and then maybe have a "mini-cruise" up to The Whiskey for those that want to go. If some people just want to meet at The Whiskey because they don't want to take up the whole day then they could do that too.

Maybe 2 shows in one day is too much....and it should be just one or the other.

What do you and others think ?

Just checked the map and saw that Toms River is about 75 miles from Lyndhurst....so I'm thinking doing some of both might be too much.

Would we want to do the meet at the Mustang Show in Toms River as someone suggested to me or back at The Whiskey ?

Either one is cool!

Don't make any plans on my account, but we have Miss Scarlett, our Great Dane and leaving her from 9am-5 without potty breaks is not a good idea unless we want to come home to a flood and mountains. Literally.

Either one you choose will be awesome...

NJStangers just had a member pass away from cancer and that show has even a large significance right now....

Well here is what I think. If we keep the 8/15 date we should have the meet at the Toms River show. I heard about the member of NJ Stangers and since the show is for such a good cause I don't want to conflict with it. So I think if we stick with that date we should join the NJ Stangers for their show. Otherwise we should switch the date to 8/22 if we would rather do The Whiskey thing again.

Any input ?

That is so nice of you to think of changing your plans for our show!
18 year old Greg Karakos had just recently joined our club and he went on his first cruise with us along with his dad on June 14th. They both told everyone that attended how much fun they had on the cruise. Sadly we found out that Greg passed away on July 3rd after his battle with cancer and that was the last day he had driven his beloved Mustang. We only knew Greg briefly but he touched all of us with his warmth and kindness. As our car show is to benefit the American Cancer Society, we are also going to dedicate the show in Greg's memory. I will do whatever I can to help out with this, but I completely understand if you would rather stick with your plan of going to the Whiskey. Just let me know! Here is the link for the car show for those who are interested:

Well it looks like this is not too popular this time.....lol.

So here is what I am thinking.....if any AFM members would like to get together for the Toms River show for cancer benefit, I will probably come down.

If we want to do The Whiskey thing again I think it should be on a different date.

I can't believe there hasn't been a response to this .... This show is the inaugural show for NJ Stangers and will be an awesome show - for a great cause and you will meet lots of wonderful Mustang owners from the tri state area!!

Well as of now I am definitely planning to go even if nobody else does....lol. Of course the weather, which is still bizarre, will always play a role.
