I'm sure you guys really don't want to hear my sob story but I want to vent.
I graduated from DeVry last February with an Associates Degree. I have only been on two interviews since then and I, obviously, didn't get those. I send out my resume about 3-5 times a week and still nothing. Now, to top it off, I have to start paying back my $25,000 in school loans. Also, 6 months(which it is now) after graduation, DeVry stops help ing the graduates on a one to one basis. Their idea of one to one basis was sending me emails with job leads once a week. I don't know if it's because it's hard to get a job right now or DeVry isn't holding up their end of the bargain. I personally think it's a combination of the two.
Anyway, if anyone knows of any IT positions or any other computer related positions in New Jersey or New York, I would greatly appreciate the job lead. I figured you guys have helped me out with almost all of my car problems, so I would give this a shot. Thanks alot guys!
Wish i could help you there, but being a freshmen in college myself i dont have any higher sources to do such a thing. Also i don't know anyone in NJ. I wish the best of luck to you in hunting for a job. Goodluck man!

Umm.... go to ANY restaraunt and apply for "manager" you have a college degree, you're in.
Instant 40hr/wk job, $50-100k (depending on restaraunt/area) salary, and really, restaraunt managers don't do a damn thing, I AM one!

find someplace that has an it department first, get you a job there, doing something wether its moping the floors, or cleaning toilets. go and make a point to introduce yourself to the head of the department, get in good with them, and make sure they konw your interested in working for them. then, if someone leaves or the open a new position, you are already working there and would hopefully have a good reference for being a good worker from someone in the building. now what i did was a lil different but worked the same. im in my last year going to be a MCSE, and CCNA, so, i work for a mental hospital as one of there tech's, which works with the patients, i had an internship that i had to do, so i talked to my boss, who talked to the head of the IT department and i was able to get my internship from my boss's good words of me. now i have been there 3 weeks interning, and have been offered a full time possition when i graduate in may.
