Should I drive 8 hours away and race the stang ?

I'll be going down to Bowling Green , Kentucky at the end of the month for the nmra nats

: It's an 8 hour drive from my house . I drove the stang down there last year and took a few hot laps and drove her back with no problems . Should I tempt fate again and race or just go as a spectator ? I guess if I break something Hiwayman is somewhere around there

Of course you are gonna race it! Do you want your stang to feel left out? It's important for stang owners to realize that their stang needs to feel a part of their social group. Excluding them from activites with stangs their own age could cause detrimental psychological damage down the road.

Lol. Funny way of putting it. After running it at the track, do you usually ever have problems where you may not be able to drive it back?

nope I have never broke at the track . But , I shredded the input shaft/countercluster gear on the tranny while learning how to power shift about a mile from my house

But no never at the track . But , I have to admit i'm a little comcerned because this track is 8 hours away . and I'm probably a little over a second faster this year .

Worst case senerio, you rent a truck and a car hauler from U-Haul, and drag it back home. Probable senerio, you have a blast, maybe win some races, let it cool off, and drive it home.

I'll be there also..Ill give ya my cell ## if ya break ill haul ya to ohio if ya rent a trailer and help out w/ gas or beer
