you know, i really thought this would have been a good subject to talk about, and it is, but there is always someone out there who types/talks before they think.

Maybe everyones point of view is different but maybe people need to keep them to themselves once in a while.

I was sick in bed and remember waking up to the events on TV, and thinking I was dreaming at first. Then I thought we were being bombed it took awhile for me to actually realize what was really happening.

I was at school when a kid came into class asking me what all went on at the towers Then he told me that they had been hit by a plan. This coming from one of the biggest clowns in school i didnt belive him till i got to my second period class when it was on T.V.

The car club i just join (Bluegrass Mustang Club) since 9/11 they/we now start by saying the pledge to the flag and we just took a vote to keep doing it or stop and the vote went over 24-0 to keep it. For those of us that were there or know one that was and know ones that didnt walk away that day.... It will always be there.

I was thinking about going to bed. Its was morning for you guys but 9/11 was almost over for us down under. I was watching TV, late night movie when it got cut to cross to a live CNN update. I couldn't belive it !

Spent the next two hours calling friends in NY to see if they were alright. Most of them hadn't woken yet nor turned on the TV !

As for me its very easy to remember. I was in the air at the time. I was instructing some young men to do the job I have been doing for years when we heard about the "accident." Then a bit later Tower controllers were told about the second crash and all planes were ordered to land. I am in the Air Force and proceded to spend about 400 days of the next 2 years deployed. I am not complaining here as I am happy to do it. I do want to remind people though that there are many men and women still making sacrifices for this cause, (military and civilian,) and in alot more places then Iraq. This cause will take a long time to win but stay strong, remember why we are doing this, and continue with your support.

i can remember just about everything that whole day. i was in my first semester at college, just got back from working out. i turned my tv on, the picture tube was bad and it took a long time to warm up, then went and got a shower. when i came back, it was on espn, which i always watched b4 a class. in the bottom scrolling line it said "for more on the attacks in NY turn to abc" well, i didnt figure it was of this magnitude, i figured it was a sports riot or something of that nature. so, i changed the channel not expecting what i seen next. i think this was about 5-10 min after the second plane hit, and it was just crazy. i sat and watched untill ihad to leave for class, and tryied my best to concentrate. after class i ran back to my room and kept watching. i had about 20 messages from my mom on my voicemail trying to get ahold of me also. that day just is something i wont forget, ever.
