I saw one in person at the Kingdon Drags. It is NICE. Inside it as luxurious as a Merc or BMW but, it has that gas sipping/hind-end kicking EcoBoost under the hood.
Yes, it is a big vehicle. It is a full size sedan.

i mean, is there anything NOT to like about this car? i sooo wish i had 37K to drop on this car (of course, if i had 37K id probably drop it on a GT premium...)
Um, if I had 37k to drop on a car, it'd be on a lightly used GT500. I see this car being an epic fail due to the price point.
No way man, the price point is excellent when you consider the targetted market. Like I said in another SHO thread, this ain't your daddy's Taurus. They've moved that baby upscale, way upscale and it's competing for the BMW/Mercedes buyers now.

I'd save up and buy a Gt but in New England as well as other parts of the country you kinda need another vehicle for the bad weather days as well as sunny days you feel like a change... enter the SHO, a good all around sedan with awd that still kicks a@@ in the fun department. I would totally buy one.
you know, I think this is sort of a myth. Or a matter of choice. There is alot you can do to prepare for snow or inclement weather, tires, weight in the trunk, adjusting your driving habits, chains if needed... I went thru a HELL of a winter last year and made it out ok. If you don't want the risk of wear and tear and have the money or OPTION to have a second winter only vehicle, than I'd say knock yourself out. However, if it's your only daily driver like me, a good set of winter tires, some careful DEFENSIVE driving and just plain STAYING HOME as much as you can and you'll be fine.

i agree with ya bluestreak. this car is for all those guys that drive expensive luxury sedans like the BMW's and Mercedes benz's, this car is EVERY BIT OF a BMW power and luxury wise, but for half the price, half the insurance cost, and half the gas cost. i hope it does great

That would be you, not the guy that has to tote a family. GT500 and Taurus are two competely different tools for two diffferent jobs. Chiche as it is, you're comparing apples to... monkeys.
