(omg i actually got to post in the lounge)
so i know some of you own your own business. any good customer service stories?
heck heres one from my day at work.
i work at a steel mill. today was my first day of crane leading.
a trucker checked in and backed in.
at first no safety glasses, i kindly said sir you need your glasses on.
he kinda rolled his eyes, got em on.
then i needed his yellow ID card for the trailer, he got it gave it to me and started his truck, i said sir we cant load you with a running truck. wow his face...
so i check the coil and go up on the rail dock. i notice he has not taken out his 4 side panels, we require 2 on each side of where the coil is to be loaded. so i tell him sir i need this and that panel removed, he grunted took them out and threw em.
i said sir in order to load you, you must have paper, this really did it. he got mad and went and got a crap ton of paper and layed it down.
so a few minutes later here comes his load, i think it was a 60K coil.
i said stand here and tell the crane operator where you want it.
he got annoyed that i wouldn't and starts to climb up on his truck. so i grab his foot and say you can not be up there while loading. and boy that did him in he hopped down slammed his panel and said fine then sit it any where.... so i sat it back in the coil field :P
he got oober pissed. cause we made him start all over again.
grenrally im kind to truckers, alot of ppl at work arent, this guy was just a meanie head
