so i was coming home from work tonight and all these kill stories and youtube videos caught up with me and i just had to let my pony run.. i can barely remember what happened or what rpm i was at... all i know is i pulled out of the school and got to a 10mph roll, and then... boom i was shifting to second at 40+mph...
dont even know what rpm i was at, all i know is i didnt redline...
i couldent see b/c my eyes were about to explode from the torque lol.
it felt so good to let her run, and i think im addicted to speed now..
give me your comments

It'll be fine, I've let it rip from 50->100 before when I had the highway to myself at 3 am. I've done that a few times and the engine runs as smooth as the day I got her *Knock on wood* So letting your stang be a stand once won't hurt it any. The Mustang tranny is like a tank. They are incredibly tough and resilient, but when they go. . .they do it in a spectacular fashion.

oh doesnt it! that was my first time ever, tell me though,
even though it was cold out, my engine was at operating temps, do you think that hurt anything?
i drove it home with no problems..
im somewhat paranoid about these things...
Dude...It's a Mustang. They were made to be driven hard. As long as you don't go around bouncing it off the rev limiter all the time, it's fine if you get into the throttle. If you do break something, put better parts in. No prob.

f that, the speed limit is a man made law, another form of control over us simple minded citizens. Viva la Mustang! Let it do what it was meant to do. Rock on stangers!
(disclaimer: I don't condone speeding, driving should be fun, be responsible and mindful of others)
as LONG as it is up to operating temp and you aint beatin the snot outta it dead cold, your good...
i launch my car all the time at least once a day hammering posi all the way up to 3rd but i need like a 5k rpm launch to hammer tire thru 3rd... but anyway... ya, its built for it its cool, just make sure nobody is around to get hurt cept you and your car... as its YOUR responsibility
and im just runnin a stock 98 GT that i can hammer tire thru 3rd with, but that comes with a LOT of practice on shifting like a MOFO hahaha 3.73s are SO beautiful tho
im an adrenaline junkie by nature and will always be that way for the reason you just found out
