I've worked as a Cop since 95' & have been involved in my share of life saving incidents & have worked with other officers that have done truly heroic things in my opinion & neither them nor I have every "advertised" our deeds. dude thats cold hes not saying look at me im better, hes simply saying what hes trained for, came in handy, and hes proud of his self. working under pressure to help save a mans life.

i see your side, but i more see his,

and what could be more heroic than saveing a life?

i mean thats about what anything heroic boils down to

"Bitter man"??? Some of the other LEO's on here may disagree with me or some may chime on their take of the initial post but just because my opinion differs from yours or anyone elses does not make me bitter. I am very opinionated (as are most cops/people in general) and I'm not afraid to voice my opinions, especially if I feel they may offer something positive or a different angle to look at something. As I've stated to folks on here before, please be very mindful of what you say and what "titles" you give to people when typing a knee jerk response. If you noticed on my post I used the word "bragging" as a generic description, not an accusation.

I'm not disagreeing with you on that at all, but you usually let someone else recognize accomplishments of this sort and let them, the department or the community make those accomplishments public.

I'd just like to add - I see this thread a bit differently. It's not often I get to truly appreciate and thank paramedics and emergency professionals - they've become commonplace here in my family... especially when my mother was alive... we saw them at least 4-5 times a year... they are a special breed and deserve to be thanked! I absolutely enjoyed the stories and I hope other members did too.

The Chinese Finger Trap story was adorable and I hope you have more of those fun ones in your future than truly tragic situations.
