oh no judi, some guys are just as clueless as some women behind the wheel...
HOWEVER, it does seem to be an apparent case that women are more common to be worse drivers on an average...

I spent 14 months in Korea in '68 - '69. Back then the N Korean army shot at you during the driving test.
All they had to drive back then were Shinjin Toyota Corolas & Coronas assembled in Korea, and Ford Falcon Taxicabs in which you could not ride if you were sober. I have empirical data on this one. I once backseated a Facon taxi, from Seol to Camp Casey which was about 35 miles of gravel road then in 25 minutes. These guys were over qualified for the Baha 1000. From then on, when out on pass, I would add 4 bottles of beer to my intake for the cab ride back to base, If I went to Seol.
My daughter is a female. She drives wonderfully. She would do everything perfectly in practice driving, but it took her 5 tries to pass the Maryland road test (current short version).

If it looks right, it is right, and I decide if it looks right. Paraphrasing Sir Sydney Camm (of Hawker aircraft IIRC)
i passed my written test, FIRST TIME with a 96....the question i had an issue with, asked what would be the typical speedlimit in an urban area, and well im not the best with words, so i thought they meant the wide open (rural) areas... sorry i aint dun did the best back when i did english class i answered 35mph, when the answer was 25... oh well
took the road test, and got a 98 FIRST TIME... i got 2 points off for not smoothly turning... i was driving my dads explorer we would frequently take in the woods and beat the snot out of in 4 wheel low range... the front end wasnt the best needless to say...

Dana W, nothing has changed! I was there from 82-84'.
They had these rattle-traps called Hyandi's and KIA which were total junk! We called the "Hy-and-dries" and "Killed In Actions" and said we were glad we would never see those pieces of s*#t in the States! Times change.
And your right they did drive like the Nks were shooting at them.
