Best Scratch on my Cobra

Ok, here it goes...First of all my Cobra will be 1 year old on Sun October 12 at 8:30pm. If you have ever seen my car it is almost flawless. With a few exceptions. There is two tiny dings just behind the passengers door (both from my 9yo son opening the car door of our land cruiser in the garage. Other than that nada...

Well today I got some time to wash both of our cars and thanks to a marine layer I did my Cobra in the mornning, and still had time to wax it this afternoon. My son was working on his bike next to the Cobra and left a screw driver on the ground. My 16 month old daughter took great interest in this new found toy. She was gleefully playing and let out a cheerfull "Dada!" when I looked back towards her. there she was drawing on the right rear quarter panel with the screw driver. Thanks to the fresh coat of wax the screw driver mostly slid and didn't dig in to deep, but there is a little scratch there if you look really close. I can still here her saying "Dada" LOL that is one scratch I don't mind!!!!!!!!

Oh geeze man!! They do say a picture is worth a thousand words....maybe this one is worth a thousand dollars. Gotta love kids though.

Wet sand the spot with 1000 and then 1200 grit, then polish, that should take care of it.

I, personally, would have punished her in some way. I'm not a father, though. If I was, maybe I'd have a different perspective.

She is 16 months old !!! , at that age kids are just starting to learn right from wrong, wouldnt do any good to punish her.

My daughter when she was 3 did the same to my neighbors car (i hate the guy

), she and her friend thought it was funny and didnt know that the paint could get damaged. I just told her that her dady now had to pay close to $500 in damages, something she could care less, she thought $500 were like enough to buy some candy hehehe.
The only thing i could find to make her reason about it was saying, next time you do that i will destroy one of your barbie dolls. She got it then

Most dings and scratches in my car have been thanks to my kids and my dad (he is like a kid).

Scratches don't bother me. Dents do. Like the small on of my passenger side door. I know scratches are gonna happen. I just don't want them deep enough where it tears into the clearcoat.

But off topic Mugger, I saw a 03 Cobra with the Cobra R front end and the S-281 wing, that car looked bad as hell. Might wanna think about that.

I would feel scared to rub my paint with sand paper.. Very scary! Somethign i would have to try on the GEO first..

Want a professional paint job that feels like paper when you rub the back of you hand on it? Rub a really really fine grit sand paper on it.
