I think thats the coolest thing going around. I think its called "resto mod" or something like that. There is alot of it popping up now. I personally like the looks of the older cars, but with modern components, well, it's a perfect way to blend the old with the new.

Yeah that motor looks RIGHT at home snuggled up in there.

I just can't beleive someone would kill the value of a Hurst edition Shelby(if it's a real GT350H) other than that it sure is a great example of clean workmanship. I like!
I guess we now know what the deal on the 5.0 cammer. that $15,000 price tag is scary though. I would love to have this set up in my '67. In my dreams, my wife would kill me if I tried to get this.

RJS 11-gallon fuel cell, C4 tranny, chrome 16" pony wheels, fuzzy dice, brown vinyl half-top, and painted in the tackiest color ever (harvest gold, that's why I call it "The Goldenrod").
Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)
Let me see, $15,000, $12,000 for a FFR Mark II roadster, $5,000 or less for anything else to go with the kit, $32,000, this would still be less than a new Cobra. Might be an interesting set-up.

a 429 is lighter and is narrower. I have not been a fan of the 4.6 since it came out. I have seen too many failers, and I know that dealers keep a few in stock for warrwnty work
Just for the record. I am a Parts Mgr. at a dealer for 34 years. We replaced way more 5.0's and 3.8's than 4.6's. I don't stock them. What other car has Ford ever produced that can compete with the 03 Cobra? RAY
my dad was a parts manager up until Sept. 30th when he retired. maybe out there, they treat the 4.6 better...as for production, well, lets look at a few golden oldies, GT40 Mk I was a production car, the Lotus Cortina, anything with a 427, the BOSS 351, heck, ANY BOSS....these were all great cars in thier day....I have seen to many odd failures in the 4.6 and there have been more different 4.6 longblock combos than I can count on my fingers. My first experiance with a 4.6 was an 80K CHP car that's main bearings were so worn out that you could move the crank a half inch forward or backwards....and I was 14 at the time
